Matasha Bailey joined Golden State Family Services in 2002. Matasha has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. She began as a Social Worker Intern and has held the position of Program Director since 2003, and currently oversees the Fresno Office. Prior to Golden State Family Services, Matasha worked as a Probation Officer for eight years. Her experience with probation has provided her insight in working with children placed in foster care.

Matasha has demonstrated leadership in numerous collaborative efforts. She has taken the lead on opening several new offices over the years, has helped grow the ISFC program, and takes pride in being known as the “regulations guru”. Matasha is dedicated to providing quality services to the children and families served by GSFS. She is very compassionate about the issues foster children face and works hard to ensure the staff she manages are equipped to handle these challenges.

Matasha is married to her love, Ron and together they enjoy their three children and one grandchild.  Matasha loves gatherings and traveling with friends and family.
