Micki Prins, M.A.
Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
n April of 1997, she began operations in Visalia, California as the Assistant Executive Director for the Central Valley. She established, developed and grew the offices in Visalia (later moved to Tulare), Fresno, and subsequent offices in Hanford, Madera and Merced. Micki became the Executive Director in 2004. Micki has a Master’s Degree in Psychology/Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology. She also holds a Paralegal Certificate and a Certificate in Non- Profit Leadership and Management. She is a past board member of CASA of Tulare County. She is currently an Adjunct Professor for the College of Sequoias. Micki also provides Expert Testimony for Tulare County Superior Court for the Public Defender’s Office.
Micki’s career has centered on working with At-Risk Youth and her work history includes providing therapeutic services to group home youth and a non-profit Counseling Center; mediator for Family Court Services; and, working with Probation Youth. Micki’s professional experience has afforded her immense insight into the emotional and behavioral issues children experience as well as successful interventions and strategies to utilize for such.
Through the leadership and creativity of Micki Prins and her team of experienced Program Directors, GSFS has grown from a small Foster Family Agency to an agency that embraces children with intensive needs, adoptive services, and an extensive training program for resource parents, staff, youth, and the community.
